Jessica Mooney is a Seattle-based writer whose short stories, essays and literary criticism have appeared in Entropy, Moss, The Seattle Review of Books, The Rumpus, Salon, the What to Read in the Rain Anthology published by 826 Seattle, and elsewhere.

She has received artist grants from Artist Trust, the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, 4 Culture, and was previously a Hugo House fellow.

In addition to being a writer, she is also a field epidemiologist and researcher working in the field of global health for an international nonprofit. She is currently working on projects in Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Myanmar and the Philippines.
